Trainee Water & Wastewater Services

Coffs Harbour, Australia

  • Temporary two-year Full-Time position, 38hrs per week.

About the role

Kickstart your career in a vital industry by joining our Water & Waste Services team as a trainee! While completing a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, you'll gain hands-on experience in water treatment, distribution, and wastewater processes across the City's infrastructure. Under expert guidance, you'll assist with system operations, maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting. This is a unique opportunity to build technical skills, contribute to essential community services, and grow into a qualified water industry professional.

The start date for this traineeship is flexible (e.g. 2026) depending on the circumstances of the successful candidate.

About you

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have completed Year 12 or equivalent, hold a Class C (or Provisional) driver's licence, and possess a White Card. Basic skills in Microsoft Office, the ability to work well in a team, and a willingness to work outdoors will help you thrive in this hands-on, practical role.
